Getting phygital brings awareness to ChainGuardians IP

With so much going on across the ecosystem, it is sometimes easy to lose sight of the sweeping role the ChainGuardians blockchain superheroes themselves play in the products the project offers. We all see that Bitsee has been very busy these days, but what, exactly, is she up to? Attendance at New York Fashion Week offers a great opportunity to take a look at what ChainGuardians are doing with the IP the community has come to know and love.
The ChainGuardians team were thrilled to attend the Nolcha Shows Web3 fashion event held on the 69th floor of the World Trade Center during New York Fashion Week. This event included not only a traditional fashion walk revealing our first blockchain superhero phygital fashion line, but also introduced participants to the power of bridging the physical-digital fashion divide through exciting VR and AR experiences.
Why Does ChainGuardians Fashion Matter?
The reaction has been amazingly favorable from those present, as well as from media covering the event, including a business feature in Business Insider, a tech-focused article in HypeMoon, and our fashion featured in Harper’s BAZAAR and Elle, with an intense amount of buzz created within the fashion industry! This is an exhilarating moment for ChainGuardians, and as we look forward to the next chapter, we would like to share a little of our vision for the future of our industry-spanning blockchain superhero IP and our vision of phygital to engage those who aren’t familiar with Web3 and to welcome them to the era of new digital experiences. ChainGuardians splashed in the fashion space with style! As part of ChainGuardians’ media coverage, we have been featured in over 160 stories with highlights from Hypemoon, BAZAAR, Elle, WWD, Business Insider, and many others.

A Bedrock of Blockchain Superheroes
ChainGuardians’ core IP consists of the blockchain superheroes that characterize the collaborations the project has undertaken with a broad range of blockchain projects. ChainGuardians offer wide-ranging experience and expertise through these collaborations in support of like-minded and essential projects and share the resulting benefits through token and NFT utility across the products ChainGuardians offer.
When thinking of the power of this approach, it may be helpful to think in terms of ChainGuardians establishing the Marvel Universe for blockchain. This empowers ChainGuardians to facilitate the development of an open and interoperable blockchain landscape through promoting an accessible narrative that fosters interaction between projects as well as the active participation of their communities.
Having established products such as NFT Mining and the Superheroes RPG that integrate collaborating projects in a range of approaches, ChainGuardians continue to pursue new avenues of NFT utility for the CG ecosystem. With that in mind, the opportunity to bridge the gap between physical and digital fashion provides an exciting new frontier for which ChainGuardians are uniquely qualified.
Leading the Phygital Revolution
New York Fashion Week provided ChainGuardians the perfect opportunity to feature our signature blockchain superheroes in fine form, as our heroes look absolutely amazing on fashion. However, ChainGuardians always go beyond the expected, which in this case means getting phygital.
The term “phygital” (a portmanteau of “physical” and “digital”) refers to items with integrated physical and digital aspects. In the case of ChainGuardians merchandise, this means that the physical objects incorporate near-field communication (NFC) chips, enabling seamless on-chain proof of ownership through NFTs. NFTs offer a new way to monetize and to invest in fashion, as well as the means to protect against counterfeits and to offer virtual utilities to consumers beyond the IRL clothing.
ChainGuardians are capitalizing on the popularity of our in-game heroes by creating and marketing Phygital Fashions/digital twins that allow gamers to wear the same limited-edition clothing IRL that their favorite heroes wear in the game. As the means of revealing this revolutionary approach, CG unveiled a full Phygital Fashion experience at NYFW, showcasing the Phygital Meta Street Wear collection inspired by the ChainGuardians Superheroes in a space and runway show that created absolute synergy between the physical and digital fashion experiences.
New York Fashion Week also provided the opportunity for ChainGuardians to demonstrate the Future of Shopping experience with CG’s own IP providing the proof of concept. ChainGuardians demoed in virtual reality (VR), offering guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in a 3D digital fashion world featuring virtual experiences of select items in the ChainGuardians Meta Street Wear line. CG also demoed in augmented reality (AR), permitting guests to interact with digital models wearing ChainGuardians clothing and allowing the opportunity to take pictures with the models and with the clothing itself.
Through participating in NYFW, ChainGuardians map out the way for the business of fashion to evolve and to thrive in the burgeoning Web3 Metaverse, in which entrepreneurs are empowered to build and launch virtual businesses with real world implications. The experiences CG offered participants at NYFW integrate some of the most important emerging technologies into a powerful vision for brands serious about moving confidently into the hybrid physical-digital future.
Beyond the Catwalk
